I know for some Hollywood Award Shows don’t mean much. (Understandably so, especially with what is going on in the world right now) But if I may for a minute use this platform as my soapbox.
Today is a day that I I used to dream about as a little girl. To be able to walk the red carpet, attending the Emmy’s ceremony surrounded by such immense talent & quality television programming that I enjoy is indescribable. To get all dolled up in a beautiful dress & attend the after party/ Governor’s Ball for a incredible dinner by the legendary Wolfgang Puck is truly exciting. Most of all to be surrounded by fellow creatives; those that I know & those that I’ve admired from a far. I’m truly speechless and grateful for this blessing.
Thank you to my beautiful & generous friend, Scarlet Perez for taking me. There’s nothing like two loud Cuban girls from Miami experiencing this together. Thank you to Suzy Cashmere for my beautiful dress, Janet T Planet & Mona Holmes for being amazing in the assist & to my beautiful, lovely sweetheart of a best friend Angela Stubbs for getting my hair done & shoe shopping (the hell we went through) I don’t know what I would do without you. All of my ladies that I asked to raid their closets; Marieh Delfino for being such a wonderful partner in crime. Caroline Geys for being in my brain. Kristin Olmsted, Ashley Catuzzi, Laura Heather. My sister Aileen Seiden for helping her big sister out last minute. I know I’m not nominated but I just gave an acceptance speech to the universe for surrounding me with such amazing people in my life. A million thank you’s & I love you all so much. #emmys #governorsball @scarletperez
